my name is AL. i am from Mantua, Ohio (between Akron and Cleveland), i am a drag racing fan from way back. allthough i don't build too many drag cars ( never had good luck with decals) i am a heavy pro street fan. my building has beed rather slow lately, but im getting older, just a hair over 50 and figure i'd better get my butt in gear and build most of these kits i have.
thanks Al (Tubbs)

Welcome Dale and Al,
I was originally from Cleveland and then moved down to Northfield, Ohio in the early 70's. I think I've been around your town many times when I use to go fishing in the Cuyahoga river. Of course I have been to Geauga Lake Park many times too in my younger days. When I was old enough to drive, I started racing at Thompson and Dragway 42. I'm building, or trying to build all my cars that I raced and also most of the Super/Pro Stocks that I saw race.

Even though I have been on here about I year, I realized I neglected to properly introduce myself. My name is Mike and I have been a model builder since what seems like forever and a drag racing fan for just as long. Some of my earliest memorys are of going to the old Oswego drag strip in Oswego Illinois with my dad and uncle.
I like building anything racing related but lately been branching out into other kinds of models. Racing wise, NHRA is fun but I am really more into the 10.5 tires stuff. I see some people on here I know some personally and really can't wait to get to know the rest of you better.

Hi, My name is Chuck Boerner and I just found out about this site and decided to join. I am 53 years old, married with 3 kids and live in Indiana. I am a BIG fan of the late 60's-70's funny cars and dragsters. About 3 or 4 years ago I found a guy who live near me that was casting 1/16th scale 70's funny cars bodies. I would drive up and buy the bodies when I bought from him and discovered he drew decals . I thought that was something I really like to do so I bought a Alps printer and Corel Draw 8 and slowly I messed with both and slowly I learned how to draw decals. Learning to print with the Alps was a royal pain in the butt but finally I got it down. I have attached some pics of my work to show you what some of them look like. I have sold them on Ebay and everybody seems to like them. My Ebay i.d. is cboerne if you want see my customer rating. I start them out in 1/16th scale but slowly I am resizing them the down to 1/25th scale. The beauty of drawing you own decals is you don't have to depend on Slixx to bring them out if they ever do. I have 29 decals drawn so far with more coming. I hope you like my stuff and will let me know what you think of them. I will post more of them in the future. Thanks and everyone take car. Welcome to the board everyone!! This place is growing little bits at a time. Seams like three or four a month and sometimes even more. Personally I don't get many project done. Seams like I spend more time researching the parts from the kits online as if the parts were full size and I'm fabricating them myself or sump'en LOL Anyway guys, I hope you enjoy it here as much as I do and I look forward to see some of ya'lls work Hey Schumacher330 Hope you'll enjoy it here too.. LOL
