Well it's about time you almost made it 24 hours without a project. I know you were starting to get the shakes! A 409 that's blasphemy ! I love it

Thanks Allen. By the way, that's how you make a Ford go faster. LOL. Just kiddin. I wanted this to be different and I had an extra 409 to use. Plus my favorite engines are the 348, 409 and of course the Ford Flat Head forever.

There's not a whole lot wrong with a good 409. Plenty of them made plenty of statements over the years.
Looking forward to watching this build come to life.

Thanks Steve. I got some color on it this morning and I might have to strip it and do a do-over. The clear coat got bubbles in it and I have no clue how this happened. Oh well, we'll wait and see after it dries.

Ouch. Yeah, that happened to me too. I'd love to have any of several cars I owned back today. Oh, well.

Dan, if it's air bubbles, couldn't you just lightly sand it down and shoot over it? I'm asking more for my own benefit than offering advice. I know nothing about that yet. I'm just thinking out loud and wondering of air bubbles could be removed that way.

That sucks! maybe they will dry out. Fingers crossed. I've heard of that happening with 2k urethane but you spray duplicolor most of the time don't you? Good luck

Thanks guys. I think that the air bubbles will dry out and I can sand them and touch up the rest. Allen, I use Testors little bottle paints mostly in an airbrush. I've used Boyd's paints and Model Master paints along with some of Tamiya's transparent colors for lights and stuff.

OK. Cool. You can just sand the bubbles and reshoot. Good deal. At least you don't have to strip it.

I sure hope not Steve. That's what I'm hoping for, is not to have to strip it and re paint.

That sucks but I know what you mean. The person that tells me he doesn't run into this once in a while is telling me he doesn't build many models. What you have is looking good though!

Thanks Allen. I got everything cleaned up and will paint it tomorrow. I also had to strip the top. There was a problem on the right side of the top.
