Beautiful looking hot rod!
I've got some questions for you. Is that the natural stance of the kit, or have you done anything to the suspension? Are those the kit slicks? If they are, was the blue streak already on the tires or did you do that detailing along with the white letters?
I really like gassers and this is a great looking one, for sure! Great work. Very neat and clean.

Steve, I did tinker with the suspension a little just to tweak it to where I wanted it but overall, the stance is not bad in kit form, just a tad too high for my taste (mostly in the rear). The blue streaks were in the kit and pad printed so no work there. I made my own headers since the kit ones were so hokey but much of this build is more or less box stock. Not a bad kit, just a lot of flash cleanup but overall, recommended.

Thanks for the info. I might have to pick up one of those kits. Looks really good.

Hey Steve, check your stash old boy. You picked one of those kits up from me, with the chassis and completed engine. The stance you like is already established.

Quick question. I may have missed it, but why is there what looks like tape in the threads of the tires?

Oh, good question actually. Once in a while I get a little ahead of myself on my stages and that's what happened on this one. I had already finished the tire and rim detailing which included sanding and buffing the slicks in the rear and on the fronts, carefully trimming off the excess flash rubber down the middle of the tread and then sanding them out for the right scuff. I had not yet mounted them up to the car frame so I knew I would be handling them several more times. So, in order to preserve the work already done on detailing the tread faces, I just tape them real quick with a once around strip and that way I can do all I need to do without messing up my tires faces. Hope that makes sense and it's my way of dealing with it (but it works for me!)
