Good idea. Model drag site. Should be fun when it really gets going. I prefer old school drag racing. 50's and 60's cars of whatever class, gasser , stockers, awb etc. I like them all if they are in those decades. Why is this banana so happy?

Hi my name is Joe. I am from Indiana and I like to build Top Fuel dragsters, Funny Cars, and Gassers. I have started well I guess a project where I am wanting to build all of the Top Fuel and Funny Car World Champions and winners of the U.S. Nationals from the 60's to today, but I will also build other cars besides them. I am really looking forward to see where this fourm is going.

I'm Paul Mendoza, 35 years old. I've been building since I was about 7 non stop. (though I don't seem to finish much these days.) I tend to do a lot of scratchbuilding. Anyone who's seen my 935 Porsche coming together know that! (not drag though, but the next one might be a promod 1/12 935! lol) Currently stuck in San Diego, CA. I have a growing collection of unbuilts and an un-growing collection of builtups. Seems par for the course these days don't it? Paul M

Hi everybody! My name is Wayne Stevens, JR. and I have been involved in the sport of drag racing since I was a small child. I have been in and out of the model hobby for many years; back in for good in 1997. It is the easiest way that I have found to escape the daily rigors of life and work and is my stress relief from such issues. I believe that I have a pretty good working knowledge of race cars since I have been around them all of my life including working on a fuel funny car team back in the late 80's. I was even lucky enough to license in a fuel funny car back then as well. That was a rush. Anyway, that is who I am and I'm glad that I was invited to check out this forum and I believe that I now have a new place to spend most of my internet time.

hi guys! my name is gary atkinson, 59 years old, retired aerospace engineer. i have been building 1-1 cars since i was about 12 and still do. i have gotten in and out of model cars all my life also. i started building drag cars, then motorcycles, then trikes, then street rods and then back into drag cars. i have always been into altereds and gassers and have several of both in 1-1. i have collected quite a few cars in my life and can't seem to part with any, so my time to build models is limited. i have a '32 bantam altered, flathead powered, i run in the anra series and a 440 chyrsler fed just about finished, 2 henry j's and 2 '33 willys. i tend to like to build the type of model cars of the kind i build in 1-1. i love drag racing forums because that is the only type of racing i like. i don't have a camera that will take pic's of models so it will be awhile before i can show any. well, i guess i will stop now and leave something for a few post now and then. thanks bri for this forum. i will surely do my part to talk it up.

Hey Now!!! My Name is John Hilkert aka: FuelishSpectator I usually don’t post much but when I do… I feel that it is worthy to the Drag Racing Model Building community. I live in So. California, I belong to model car club called "Kit Bashers of So. California". hometown.aol.com/scaledplastik/KitBashers.html#_welcome Presently I am working on this phantom Dodge Deora fuel burning truck for awhile now, which will have all with the bell and whistles as of a Modern Top Fuel Car. Also on the bench I have a Modern Top Fuel Hydro...
I believe I have been building for 13 years full throttle. I reconized a few builders here already... I main interest is building Modern Day Fuelers. I believe in promoting the hobby when ever possible. I usually photograph model car events in So. California... And have always focus heavily on the Drag Cars at each and every event... Just check out my Fotki website public.fotki.com/jth109/ Especially at the bottom of the page a folder called "Various Drag Models" Fuelish

Hi my name is Ray [crazyray78 on the ayers board] The last drag car I built was the Christine pro mod plymouth. Haven't built much of anything in the past month, drag car or otherwise, been too busy with the 1:1 cars in the garage. Nice to see a site dedicated to drag cars only!

Hi. Well everyone calls me T.J. I am from the east coast of australia,I have been building model cars since I was 8 I have been involved with drag racing most of my life. I have been racing since I was 17 at street meets and I am currently rebuilding my car as my son will be stepping into it and sharing the driving duties as well. I am also involved with the nostalgia racing here in oz that has taken off in a big way. The main scale I build now is 1/16 and all drag related when I get the time and it is good to see that there is a model forum that is only for drag racing.
All the best T.J.

Hello to all, for those that don't know me my name is Charles Saglinbene owner of Pro Tech Model Parts. I really love the early days of drag racing (when a Mustang F/C looked liked an actual Mustang). I have been building since I was about 9 or 10 and still love building when the business allows. I look forward to seeing a bunch of great builds here as I see we already have a bunch of top quality builder as members. Also thanks goes to Bri for getting this forum started, what a cool place for us drag builders to hang out!

Glad to have you here Charlie!!!! Feel free to plug your business anytime you want and don't forget to add your link to the Aftermarket section of the forums for everyone to have easy access to. I will be calling you VERY soon for parts for my upcoming projects! Again, it's great to have not only you, but everyone here. I honestly never expected this place to take off so fast, that's for sure. I couldn't be happier, and it's definitely fueled my desire to get back into drag modeling!
