absolutely fabulous build as always. I just spent an hour reading in google about these guys because it intrigued me. They seem to be quite the innovators. You haven't by any chance built the AMC powered one have you?

Fantastic looking dragster. Nicely detailed engines. Very clean looking build.

I was just looking over this thread again and an evil thought went through my head. I've got 3 or 4 of the Lindberg '64 Dodge 330 kits that are the factory stock car. Each one has 2 engine choices with one of those choices being the venerable 383 and the other being the infamous "Slant 6". I fully intend to build one of the kits using the old 225, but that still leaves 2 or 3 of the powerplants unused. And I've never built a dragster, even as a kid. This could very well be a learning experience for me.
Thanks for posting this up and putting evil thoughts in my head. LOL!

You haven't by any chance built the AMC powered one have you? No sir, I haven't. Roger & Marvin started with a single GMC powered dragster, then the twin GMC. American Motors came along with buckets full of money and they switched to a stretched (even longer} twin AMC powered car. Marvin finished with a rear engine dragster powered by a 360 AMC engine. I used to see these cars at Marvin Clarke's shop out on the Canyon Highway in Amarillo, as Marvin was my every day mechanic on my first wife's car.

Yea a lot of the time big piles of money will do that! I appreciate the history of racing as much as I do the racing and modeling of course and I feel like you do to just from seeing your posts over the years. thanks for the lessons. I wonder how long the chassis was? I think I feel another project in the making !
