Gotta be honest on this one guys. This started as a built up gloo bomb I attempted in 1978 and I almost threw it away. In 1988 I used it to try some things on my very first weathering job figuring I couldn't mess up something that was already a mess. A few guys saw it and liked it so I added the base, entered it in a contest and to my surprise it won. The Pic I posted here was taken in 2015 and it was just dumb luck how it came out. I was looking for some good light and tried an outside shot not even thinking the base would blend into the background. Believe me, there is ZERO modeling skills here and ZERO photography skills, this was all dumb luck. I wish I could have this kind of luck on all my builds. And , this model is 30 years old this year. The rust by the way is real. I put steel wool in water and when it rusted away, I applied the rust dust to the model with thinner followed by a coat of testors dull coat. Its funny what you can do when you don't know what you are doing.

Although in this case I feel you may be being just a little modest.
