Nice work. Is that resin you used on the posts? Paul

Thanks for the details but that leaves me with 1 more question what is that you used to make the mold ? I've got a bunch of these old kits I could use this process on. Thanks

What I used is Amazing Mold Putty made by Alumilite. I got it at Micheal's craft store. It's a two part putty that you mix 50/50 and place it on the part that you want to copy.

OK that makes sense I kept looking at it and thought it was just plane putty but I didn't think that would pick up the detail. I'm familiar with alumilite products but I've never used that one. I'll have to try it. Thanks again

You're welcome Allen. I really like using this stuff in a jam. It's not for everything, but it works for me when I need it, plus, it's a lot cheaper than the other resin I use.

Thanks Allen, it's more like eye crossing work. LOL.

Looks really nice. You've done a great job saving this one.
Question for you. What year is that Jeep pickup sitting in front of the car?

I think it's like 53 or so. It was a toy bank with Sears on the side. What I did to it was use the drive line and engine from the CJ5 kit and the bed from a 53 Ford truck. I scratch built the rear fenders and tail gate. It is part die cast and plastic kit.
