I took time to pull the AMT '71 Charger R/T kit off the shelf and go through it today, including following the instructions start to finish. This is definitely the kit that is going to be my first build. Put it in stone. No more changing my mind.
Not only that, I told my wife during supper that my plans for Thursday were to empty the closet in my man cave to start organizing. I need the closet space to start putting some stuff away to clear the room for model building. That brought me "the look" from the wife. I still have to refinish the kitchen cabinets. But what the He**?
So I'm actually getting ready to start a build. I noticed that I need to order a few bottles of paint, but that won't keep me from starting. Hopefully it won't take more than 3 or 4 days to finish up organizing that room. I might actually be building by Monday or Tuesday! Holy cow! LOL!!!

Steve, I know "The Look" you are talking about. I was married…….I think………….one time. I don't have to see "The Look" anymore. I live with a female but this one is a cat and she don't give a rats what I do as long as I fill the feed bowl now and again. Yessir, life IS GOOD.

I got that look once in 1973. Left in the morning with her Coupe DeVille and fell up the stairs that evening, holding the papers for her new GTO. The look lasted for a few weeks, even after I got her car back and returned every time see looked at my GTO. Eh wimmon, can't live with em and can't bury them in the back yard. . . Paul

I kind of figured there would be several of you guys that knew what "the look" was. I've discovered the best way to handle "the look" is to just pretend I didn't see it. Just go right on talking about something entirely different. Seems to work most of the time for me. LOL!

Believe me Steve, there will come a time when that no longer works. I sorta agree with Paul. Wimmon, ya can't shoot em………..unless you want to do hard time. It's a funny thing. A guy really never gets to know a woman until he's married and then its too late.

looking forward to the charger build. it's a really nice kit and it goes together with minimal fit issues if any at all.

When I went through the kit yesterday I noticed there's not a lot of flash or mold lines. Maybe I can get through it with minimal problems.

HAH! Yeah, I guess I took my lessons from you too seriously. No, I haven't actually started on the build yet, but I am finally getting the office cleaned out and organized. Seems that "life" got in the way. My birthday was in there, then I had a couple days of headache problems, an afternoon spent selling my old Dakota, etc, etc. But I did get some serious time in on getting things put away. Seems nothing ever goes just exactly the way I want. I knew I should never have made an announcement with a time frame. That's just asking the Gods to interfere. LOL!
