Dan I finally found somebody that finishes more models than I start. I've always said that with as many half built projects as I have someday I'll be able to finish 1 a day evidently you must be the same boat. Nice custom. Keep it up!

Thanks Allen and I hear ya about the kits. I do have a few more that need to be finished and a lot more to rebuild as well as some new kits. Being retired gives me more time to spend building and rebuilding. Besides, I like to keep the 'ol noggin thinkin.

You turned that old Ford into a nice looking rod.

Thanks Steve. Some of the custom parts are not included in the reissued kits. The top and fender skirts are resin parts and the chassis is from the 49 kit. I used the 49 chassis because you can use the dual exhaust. The kit I started with is the Crusin USA kit that is a dark blue. I never liked these Crusin kits because most of them didn't include some of the original parts in them. Instead of gluing the skirts on, I used Blue Tack putty to install them. Now, if I want to change it, there won't be any glue marks or residue on the body.

I just retired a year ago and everybody told me that I would go back to work in a month and that I would hate it. Not!!!! It gets better every day.

I hear ya Allen. I'm glad that I'm retired. I do miss some of the guys that I worked with tho. I also miss building machines that worked when you got done building them. Ha ha.
