Got this little jewel on a trade. The box is near perfect and it is complete. I built this one as a kid and have never been able to grab one since that time. I would love to see this kit restored to original parts and re-popped again. I kinda hate to build this one but heck, that's what they are for right?

That's the way I figure it. They look better built than on the sprue.

Where's the "I'm Jealous" button? Models were made to be built and not leverage traded like stocks and bonds. The "collectors" have nearly ruined the pricing as it is so take this one out and build it!

I bought a sealed 68 Impala SS convertible and a sealed 64 El Camino, as the guy is telling me how they are rare and are a good "investment" I pulled the shrink wrap off and opened them. When I told him my plans for them he just stared at me. I just bought a AMT 69 Camaro Funny Car kit that is turbine powered. The turbine will go into Arfon's Turbine powered rail.

Being one that is just getting back into the hobby, all the "rare" collectible stuff is lost on me anyway. Any time I see "rare" in conjunction with a kit for sale, I just keep reading right down the page. I'm sure some of the kits out there really are rare, but it means nothing to me. All I see is a kit I would either be interested in building or a kit I would have no interest in building.

Kits were meant to be built and I buy them to be build, if they're bought just to have and admire but never build, IMO it's a crime against humanity. Like my 41 and 55 Chevies I'll take out as long as it's not snowing, not going to leave them for my kids to sell for pennies.A few years ago we took the 41 to Chicago and than Rte 66 to California and back through Canada to Long Island. The 55 goes out every chance I get and I do beat the snoot out of it. I've owned it since 1968, pop owned it from 1962 and it's been a race car for 54 years.

Have no fear fellas, this T kit WILL BE BUILT. That is the reason I traded for it. I am like Steve, there may very well be "Rare" kits but I think you can count those on both hands. I to see kits with "Vintage" "Rare" "Hard to Find" and the kit is no more than ten years old. Sure, you don't see it often but that don't mean its worth two C notes. I have heard many times, "OH that kit is worth…………. Really? No matter what the kit is, it is only worth what someone else is willing to pay to own it. When this T kit was new and on the shelf, it sold for $1.49. I saw one on Evilpay for $249!!! I guess if you have plenty of $$$ and wanted it bad enough, you could pay that. I will not. The old kits are out there, plenty of them. If you wait a little while, they will usually get re-popped anyway. Good example, the Blue Beetle. I saw that go for some really stupid money and now you can have one for $21 shipped. Same parts, same box. I say if you got it, build it, that is what its for.
