This is a very cool forum! Just thought I would share a couple pics of my Camaro. Its a street/strip car. Full interior, 612ci big block, pump gas. It has run a best of a 9.95 @ 136mph...I let off twice during the pass as it was a shake down run. I also got a stearn warning for running that time with no cage. I have a roll bar but no cage.

Wowzers!! That's a really nice looking Camaro and it's obviously got a lot of "giddyup"! You ever think of building a scale replica of it? Just a super nice car! I've got a '69 but no big motor, just a driver.

I love it! VERY Clean!! Looks like my old 69. Hugger orange with black stripes. there is a lot to be said for a car you can just jump in and go.... I've had this car since about 1982 and I am the 2nd owner. It just has a 307 in it (a little built-up but not much) and an automatic so it's just one of those that we can jump in and drive it anytime we want to and take on little trips.

I did have a ground-pounder that looked like it when I was 16 and met my eventual wife. It was a 396/375 horse and although nowhere near as nervous as your current Camaro, it was pretty quick for back in the day. So it's always fun to hop in the one we have now and take a spin and act like we're teenagers again going to get a malt and do some cruisin'! Brings back some good memories. And yep, that skinny 16 year old kid was me (sorry to say!)

I had a 396 in the 69...It was fun and fairly quick for that time and still be a street car...It ran a best of a 12.90 @107mph....But usually ran low 13's. I was in the Air Force at the time.
