I started this in September, but life keep's getting in the way. I will "attempt" to post the picture's in order...
As you can see, the frame is a "bit tweeked". not the kit's fault ... totally mine. I have since "Fixed" the frame , and changed the kit blower for the injector stack's.
I also managed to wire the sparkplugs. this picture is of my second attempt. My first try , I used a more "scale" wire that looked like crap.I glued these wire's in from under the valve cover. ( less glue "Fogging" the Chrome that way.)
Velocity stack's assembled...
Got the frame straight...
Added some Chrome trim to the firewall.... it was just too bland.
Dont know if I will Chrome any of the other trim..... I'm open to suggestion's.
I wanted to paint the fuel tank to match the car , and have the tank strap's Chrome...
But the paint "bled" under the masking tape ... so, I "prepped" 4 tank's for paint ( just to "insure" I would get at least one tank to turn out...
It was to no avail ..... I have "FAILED" four time's now to get a usable tank. This is where the tank stand's today.... ( I'm afraid to "un-mask" it . )
I used a Molotow Chrome pen this time.... ( finger's crossed...)
The kit didn't come with a fuel pump, so I "cobbled " together one using bit's and piece's from my junk bin.
Chromed it with my Molotow 1mm pen...
The kit distributor wasn't going to work for me ... so I dug out some Evergreen tubing and some Plastistruct Square rod, and scratched my own Magnito...
Painted ...
Decaled the Magnito with decal's from my stash of 10,000 and 1 that I have been "hoarding" for year's . So of course they "Shattered" on impact ! I pieced them back together... but their a bit "jagged" around the edge's..... nothing a heavy wash of Black can't fix...
Bent the first of two fuel line's out of Brass wire. ( I wanted to use Music wire, but it wouldn't un-coil. Beside's .... Brass is more "Forgiving" of stupid idiot mistake's.)
I decided I would use the driver figure, ... but the detail on him is heavy and out of scale. ( His shirt look's like a thick sweater!)
And DIG the 60's safety equipment ... Gloves and a helmet.... yea, that will save you !
His shirt was a bit bland ... so I added what I "Hope" is a period correct logo to it.
The driver's head is a mess.... those goggles are THICK !!! And he look's like an alien invader.... from planet Bugaloo...
Ok.... sorry to pile up the picture's like this, but now you all are "Caught up" with what's happening at : Little Timmy's House Of Miniature's .
