Good to have you back! Looks like you've got most of the problem areas pretty much under control. I see another winner on the way.

The '62 &'63 Dodges and Plymouth's are in the top 10 of my favorite Mopars! Going to enjoy watching to come back to life. Some of the Revell kits from around than required either type 'A' or type 'S' cement, A for Poly-acetate and S for Polystyrene. Have you ever tried Squadron ThermoForm to copy an intact but damaged glass? I've used it a few times with success for light curved glass using my wife's blow drier to heat and form it to the bad glass. Paul

Thanks guys and Paul, I've never tried the ThermoForm. The windshield for this kit is fine, I just had to cut it loose. It was glued pretty good right in the middle of the roof. While cutting it out the roof split. I had to fix that and then I cut the front and rear glass apart from the runners that connect them together. I will be able to use both the front and rear glass for this kit. I have no clue of what the plastic is, just that it is brittle.

I will usually use my Dremel with the little drum sander bit and just sand that glue bomb glass out of the roof. It leaves a nice smoothed area and normally does not harm the roof or the eventual glass to be re-installed. Some polishing of the glass and a dip in Future and they look like new. I'm working on an old Johan '60 Desoto and got paint on the exterior last night and it was glued up nasty. I really enjoy restoring cool old kits!

I hear ya David. I'm the same way. I love restoring old glue bombs. I use a dremel also, but sometimes ya just gota go in and cut away. In this case the glue was all the way to the end of the glass and that's why it was so difficult to remove. But, all is well now and I'm looking forward to rebuilding this car. Thanks fer your advise.

I'm looking forward to seeing this build progress too. I just don't think you can build any MOPAR without having my undivided attention. Even 4 door family cars work for me.

You are so right 59impala! Sometimes it takes more skill to "unbuild" one of those glue bombs than it does to build them back! I am delighted to find another fella that digs "Model Rescue!"

Yup, and I have quite a few of them there glue bombs to re-build David. I have more fun re-building them than building a new kit. Now, I do like building new ones also, but have more fun with the GB's. I have learned a lot more by re-building also. I wounder if we could have a thread started for just posting re-built glue bombs in. I know, I have a bunch to post up.

Dan, I apologize for kind of hijacking your thread.
I've read this over a couple of times now. The bottom line is I'll do what the membership wants. I'd like you all to keep in mind we already have a pretty lengthy list of boards on the forum. If you all want, I'll add a board for Glue Bombs. If using the "Other Models" board will suffice, we'll leave it at that. Just let me know your preferences.

No apology needed Steve. I was hoping that you would say something. It would be Ok with me to just post a before and after pic of the builds right here ifin it's Ok with you. I am liking this forum more and more when I come here, even if it's just to look around. Keep up the good work boss.

Thanks, Dan , by all means feel free to post as many before, during, and after photos as you'd like right here on the "Other Models" board. I'm sure I'm not the only one that would enjoy seeing the photos and reading about the problems you encounter and how you solve those problems. Any updates on this build?

Thanks Steve and no, no updates on this yet. I want to take it to our meeting tomorrow night and get some thoughts from the guys in the club. I'll get to posting some of the re-builds that I've done in the past.
