As I've said, I've got a real soft spot for Studers and this one looks mean and nervous and ready for action! Terrific!

Thanks fellas. I had fun buildin this car. Allen, I use an ink jet printer to print some decals and I wish that I had an Alps printer so I could print Gold, Silver and White. With the ink jet you are limited to what you can do as far as printing decals. I printed a set for a Corsair race plane in Yellow and the plane was dark Blue and you can hardly see the "Green" decals. They look green over the blue and the light has to be just right in order to even see them.

I was just thinkin I wonder if it would have helped to double them up you know put 2 layers of decals on it. Might be worth giving a shot in the future. I've actually run into a couple of situations where I did that with kit decals.

I haven't tried that yet, but others in our club have and the decals get to thick. Ya just can't beat an Alps printer. I wish they weren't so expensive. Plus, parts are getting harder to get for them when they break down.

For sure that's the way to go. But like you if I understand correctly. The company has actually been out of business for a while now so the machines and parts are all new old stock now and can't last too much longer of course there's still a lot of people out there using them. I kept hoping that with all the new technology that something would come along and do a good job at a better price. I mean if I had told you that 3D printing would be used as much as it is 5 or 6 years ago would you have believed it. Just a matter of time before someone comes up with something
