Last night I experimented and made some Red tail lights for the AMT 63 Impala. I have two cars to install them in. The first one is Ronny Sox's 63 and then Malcolm Durham's 63. I drilled out the lights on Sox's car and I am ready to install the red ones plus the white back up lights. Here are some pics of what I've done so far. Dan

I've got 2 of those Impala kits. I'm going to be real interested in how this turns out. Are you considering making those lights to sell? On my builds I'll be much more concerned with exterior detailing than under the hood and chassis stuff since I'll display my builds hood down in individual cases. Did you drill those out from the inside, or did you just go from the outside?

I drilled them out from the outside. I had to scrape the middle of them to get them flat and then drilled them. I'll post the picture of how it turned out later. I think they are a little dark but that's Ok. They're Red at least. The middle ones are white for the back up lights. I never thought about making and selling any though. That's an idea, but I don't know how much they would be.

I made a second set of tail lights for the Malcolm Durham car and installed them. I'll get some pictures up of both of them as soon as I can. The second set I think looks better cause I used less red die. I was asked on another forum if I was going to sell these, so, I'm thinking about that now.
