I happened to see this on eBay at a pretty good price with a "Best Offer" option. I shot the seller a really low offer and was prepared to dicker back and forth a bit, but he took my first offer. You have to really like it when it happens that way! And , it's a Pro Street kit. I know tubbs and a couple of you other guys are going to get a good laugh at that, but I figured I'd "cross over" and build one. especially since it's a Rambler.

Pro Street…………….Now thats comedy!!!! If I was you, I would order up some SC/Rambler decals and build it, thats all you got anyway. Me thinks I have one of those kits somewhere and some decals. Just don't know when I will ever get to it. The guy that did that box art should be shot.

Whoever designed and built that scoop ought to be shot.

A Pro Street Rambler is one thing, but why in the world did he stick a small block Chevy in it? That one lost me.

Oh, I realize the scoop is actually a functional item. I have just never liked the look of that particular design for a hood scoop. It looks funky on just about any car you see it, but it REALLY looks goofy on the Ramblers. I've actually got a couple of ideas for this "Pro Street" kit. Just something that came to mind recently. Remember, I don't necessarily conform to the norm.

Oh, I forgot, Paul. A 390, T10 4-gear Gremlin would be right up my alley. I've been watching evilbay for some really low priced Gremlin kits. It's getting tough to find really good deals on there for some reason. I have found a source for reasonably low priced Gremlin kits that I might go ahead and use instead of screwing around on evilbay. I have two different ideas for building the Gremlin so might buy either two of the same kit or might buy two different kits.
In case you hadn't read before, I owned a '78 Gremlin X that I bought brand new in Killeen, TX. Even though it only had the 258 six cylinder, it was a fun little car to drive.

You are a kit buying machine! Can I send you a short list of kits to buy for me so that I can build them? Doesn't hurt to ask?

Yeah, and I really need to stop buying. I've got way more than I'll ever build. I just see kits I'd like to have at good prices and keep on buying.

Our Gremlin was a Randall Gremlin 401-XR, dealer built and would run 12:28 @ 114 off the show room floor. The Mrs blew up the 401 and we got a SCrambler clone for the 390. All the AMC v-8s from 304 to 401 look externally the same. Sold the car at Atlantic City Auction 7 or 8 years ago. I have all the Johan Ramblers / AMC's including a 1968 Ambassador Convertible that AMC canceled in late 1967. Even have a Johan 1960 Uni Body Model. Got the AMT Gremlins, the Matador X, the Matador Stock cars and the Pacer and the Pacer X.
