Hey all, i'm Rick and i'm a drag racing addict. Been going to the strip since i was little, i'm 53 now. Building models all my life. Took some time off to get married and have kids, but got back into modelling after the kids went to school. I have worked at the dragstrip on the starting line in the burnout box and have benn the Starter for some races. Now i help a friend with his Nostalgia Top Fuel car. It's a 392 cast iron hemi built for fun, and it is. Expensive but fun. I have a bunch of racing videos on youtube if you'd like to see it close up. It's featured in the videos with the Swann Bros. car in the description. Just search for videos by 'AlienOrifice'. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming. Also love Model Box Art and have some albums of pics on my photobucket account, have a look. Link in my sig. Rick. aka zombywoof.

Hi my name is Brett and I'm a modelaholic , drag models that is. Use the name awesome55 on scaleauto but as doorcars are my real passion , thought I'ld use doorslammerfan. please feel free to ask any questions about any of my builds. I'm from the middle of the north island, New Zealand so a few of the cars I'll be posting are kiwi replicas.

Hi y'all, my name is John. I'm headed for 62 years old (I may have to grow old, but I refuse to grow up) ..... was lucky enough to be involved in NHRA racing from the mid 60's through the late '70's ............ raced in J/S, C/S, S/SA, B/MSP, and finished up with an A/A. I have "piddled" with models for years, but I'm just an average modeler ............. don't go in for "super-detailed" builds (that's read "don't have the expertise" ) Thanks to all involved with this site and the opportunity to hang out with some "quartermilers" ;D ;D

Hey Gang, Just what I needed another awesome modeling post to spend countless hours on instead of building some of these kits! My name is Mel aka. pulln4dejr, I'm 48 as of Tuesday and have been building since I was 10l years old. Love any kind of built model but prefer NASCAR and Drag cars. One of my ALL Time favorite cars was Mickey's '73 Grand AM which would explain why I have four that I'll get to one day! Found out about this site on Randy Ayers Model Forum and signed up as soon as I got here! Look forward to getting to know you guys and seeing y'alls awesome work! God Bless, Mel

It's great to have you here Mel. I'm glad to see you made it over from Randy's. As you can see, this place has literally exploded in a very short period of time! We look forward to seeing your drag cars too and can't wait until you begin tackling those Grand Ams! Jump right in and make yourself at home! Again, welcome to the forums! ;D

My Name is Bert. I started back building a few years ago. I am a car nut and build autos almost exclusively, except for an occasional WWII Bomber. My favorite builds are drag cars. I am a huge fan of 50's 60's & 70's stock, super stock and gasser classes. I also like the late 60's(AWB) early 70's funny cars. Another type of car I'm quite fond of, are the exhibition wheel standers. A lot of people thought these cars and trucks turned the sport of drag racing in to a show. They're still cool to me.
I am a cop, and have been for over twenty years. Building is a great hobby and stress reliever. I look forward to seeing all of the drag builds. I'm not a fast or prolific builder, so don't expect a build a week from me. If I do one or two a year, I think I'm doing good. I hope to see great things with the site.
Well, after all of that, I guess I better start building a wheel standing COP OUT! ;D

What's up Guys? My name is Chris Capucini and have been into drag racing since I could say it. I'm 48 yrs old and own 67 GS bracket car that I play around with. I'm into mostly nostalgia stuff from the 60's and early 70's I've been building models for about 40 yrs on and off and someday I'm gonna get it right! This looks like it could be a fun forum. Congrats Bri, you've attracted some heavy hitters here!!
