If you are a new member here, please take a moment and introduce yourself. Feel free to tell us a bit about yourself and don't hesitate to tell us who your favorite drivers are and why you model drag racing kits. We look forward to getting to know everyone here better as time goes on, but this is a big step in that process!

My name is Ryan, Ive been building since i was around 6 or so, but the past 3 years Ive been really honing my skills, and mastering a bunch of parts, My main building theme is usually weathered vehicles, traditional hot rods.. and drag cars. I like modern drag racing, outlaw 10.5 and pro mods are some of my favorites, along with the NMRA Hot Street and Real Street classes.

My name is Karl. My first car kit was an AMT 1959 Ford so you can see I've been around for a while. I don't get to build much but when I do it's drag racing models. I got interested in drag racing models after my first visit to Detroit Dragway in 1963. My main interest is in the 1960's A/FX and AWB cars and the early pro stocks. Living in Dearborn Michigan I'm a big Ford fan. If I can be of help to anyone building these older cars please let me know.

My name is Tom. I'm 42 years old. Most of those I have been building models. I like all forms of racing, but my preference is drag racing. My building skills are average and I have a problem finishing a project before I start another. I think most of the fun is in the planning. The big joke at my LHS is will I finish a model. Really interested to see where this board will go.

Hello everyone, my name is Scott and I'm just getting back into the hobby. Seem to have more spare time now that I'm getting older. My preferences are 60's & 70's Chevs and Mopars and really like the pro mod and pro street styles. Looking forward to seeing what everyone is building and to pick up some tips and ideas from everyone.

Really interested to see where this board will go. I'm a firm believer that this forum will only go as far as we, the members want it to go. The more traffic and postings this forum brings, the more members that will come and join the fun. In the end, it's up to those of us who belong here to spread the word and invite our fellow modeling enthusiasts to come and join the fun. I am striving to put together a drag racing forum that is fun, first and foremost. Drag racing has been around almost as long as cars have had wheels. The drag racing model hobby has been around almost as long as well. I really do believe we can make this place work and turn it into THE place to go for all things related to drag racing modeling. It's up to all of us to do our parts though. Now, let's have some fun!!!!! ;D

Hi ya'll, I'm Tiny. I'm a 54 year old happily married, unhappily retired fireman. Been building models since I was 9, mostly oval track of various types, some big rigs, emergency vehicles, street rods & dragsters. I drove stock cars off & on for 22 years & shared driving my father's drag cars 67, 68 & 69. Our 68 Mustang was a C/S named Wild Pony - hence my user name. I'm old school so my 2 pet peeves are 1/8 mile drag strips & et/bracket racing. 1/4 mile & heads up, OH YEAH!! But if, you're into that, that's fine, I'll go with the flow, after all we're here to have FUN!! Most of my cars are fantasy builds, but I ocaisionally build replicas. My eyes aren't what they used to be, so I go for clean builds & paint vs super detailing. Oh yeah, I've got a few finished cars & some WIP'S, but Brian is witness to how slack I am about photographing my models . Hope to post some soon. Later,

Hey guys! My name is Darryl and I've been involved in 1:1 drag racing since high school and I've been building models since I was 9 years old (over 37 years) when my dad started me on the hobby. I go by the name MISTER TWISTER because that is or was the name of my last real race car which was a '67 Chevy II which I raced in Super Gas and Super Rod. I won't promise that I'll be here all the time because I can barely find time for the "other" forum that I frequent but I think its a great idea to have a drag only oriented forum for us to share our love of drag cars, ideas and our builds. See you guys around!
