hello, does any body have any tips or tricks for bending photo etch parts??any help would be great,thanks force1000

I know I have bent some really fragile script ones with no problems and I have even bent a throttle linkage 90 degrees with no problem. Not to say they won't break but I have done it. I use tweezers and hold both sides where I am bending. I would suggest not bending them back and forth though.

thanks thumb, this will help alot, have you ever tried using a small pliers to hold it then bend it??

If you have really small pliers it would work. The reason I used tweezers was because the parts are so small that the pliers I have are too big.

Mr. FOLD-IT makes a tool for making bends, if you do allot of PE parts. It requies clamping the PE part down in the vise and using a Safety Rasor blade to slide under and bend upwards. Some Hobby stores sell them. Not sure if Micro- Mark has them or not.
