Beautiful job. One of my favorites Wayne I've got one of these that has just landed on my project table in the last few days. I'm confused, I didn't think they could alter the wheelbase on these cars back then or are you saying that AMT messed up the wheelbase and you had to correct that. Straighten me out buddy before I make a mess of this thing !

Now, THAT'S a Pro Stock, to me. I recognize these cars. You did your usual superb engine compartment detailing. Nice!

You are correct in that racers weren't allowed to alter the wheelbase but MPC did a terrible job on their body and to make it look better it needs some altering. In my case I went a little overboard but it still looks good. Some of the cars that were ran in the later 70's went with a slightly altered front end ahead of the front wheelwell to make the body look longer. One other step to take on some of these cars is to run the rear hood line all the way into the windshield glass, thus eliminating the cowl. Not all of them did this so research photos become a big plus.
