I'm trying to locate a website that has the rules for stock and superstock for the early to mid 70s. I'll eventually be building some gassers, stock and super stock cars and I think I'd like them all to conform to the early 70s rules. I found a good site for gasser rules, but can't seem to locate any place with stock and superstock rules. Does anybody know of a place, or does anybody happen to have a rule book from that period that you could create a copy of the rules I'm after?

If I may, might I suggest you look for a book titled "Junior Stock" By Doug Boyce and "Super Stock" By Larry Davis. Both will answer just about any question you have and the reference photos and information is priceless. Shop around on line for a good price, they are there. Shucks man, as much as you have spent collecting a stash, this will be pocket change. You will love em both, well worth having.

, that helped a bunch! I searched the 'Net high and low, then searched through all my bookmarks for that page. I knew I had seen a page like that at some point when I was looking for info over the past year or so. I couldn't remember where I had seen it. I kept thinking it was on the NHRA site somewhere and got really frustrated trying to find it there. I've got them all downloaded now. The '68 rules and class designations should work just fine for what I'm going to do with my gassers, stockers, and super stocks. And the '64 or '65 rules will work for my early 60s horsepower wars collection. THANKS!

Thanks, Paul. Different web address, but the same rules books. I guess somebody duplicated it on Dropbox. Yeah, those rules books are really going to help me out. I've got a copy of "Junior Stock" By Doug Boyce on the way to me and I expect I'll have a copy of "Super Stock" on the way in the near future. Those two books along with the rules books are really going to help out a bunch. I might actually get the class designations figured out one of these days. And I also found this website that really explains gasser classes through the years, as well as this chart that kind of puts it all in one, neat image. The two of them really help understand gasser classes. www.gassermadness.us/Gas_Classes/index.htm

Cool I had seen this before but lost track of it or more likely forgot about it. but that's a pretty good summary of the early gas classes - your gonna love both of those books. They're some of the best I've ever seen
