I had never heard of "finger cots" until I caught a mention of them on another forum. I was wondering if any of you guys use them. I did a little searching on the 'Net and discovered they come in different sizes. I found a box of 144 size large for only $3.99 with free shipping so went ahead and ordered a box. If any of you use them I'm curious as to which size seems to work out best. I can order another box in a different size if need be.

OK.... it would take me forever to put those things on. I would just use latex gloves... if I used stuff like that.

I've got some gloves. The problem with using gloves is that your hands get to really sweating inside them. I had actually thought about cutting the upper part of the glove off after I got them put on. Then I ran across these finger cot things and thought I'd try them. Could be a waste of money, but at least it won;t be very much. I'm mostly concerned with keeping my fingerprints and body oil off the pieces as I handle them. I'll let you know after I get them.

Did you ever receive these and did they work out for you?

Oops. My bad. I should have brought this post up to date. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. , I received them and I've had the opportunity to use them on a few things so far. I do like them so far, but it's certainly a different feeling than having gloves on. You have to be aware that you only have the ends of your fingers covered. It's real easy to put a print of the heel of your hand on whatever you're working with and even easier to forget your hands aren't covered/protected from paint or chemicals. I was talking to a guy that makes custom knives and he suggested I try using extra large gloves that are powdered. The gloves I have are just size large and are not powdered. I haven't picked any up yet, but I'm definitely going to try some. The guy I talked to said if the gloves aren't real tight and if they have powder that your hands won't sweat so much.
