An extremely well done example of an extremely beautiful car. I don't have this one yet is that painted or all decals

The color I used was Tamiya Metallic Orange TS-92 and it came out pretty close to the photos I could find of the original 1:1 cars. I masked off for the color but all of the script came in the kit decals. A little foil work, some wash in the grill and a little detail painting completed the build. It's a pretty nice kit but I did do a little fiddling in order to get the wheels to sit in the wheel wells properly. It seemed to me that the wheels were just a tab too far to the rear in kit-built form. Still, it is overall a very worthwhile kit and can produce a good looking model with minimal overwork. Thanks for looking!

Wow! A very nicely done build of a great car. Yep, I'm a MOPAR fan and I do have this kit in my stash. I'd have to look to be sure, but I'm thinking I might even have two of them. I don't build replicas of 1:1 cars. Instead I go more for "home town hero" builds or some "dreamed up" version of a drag car. Your build is just super. Great looking detail of the engine compartment. Any chance we could get a couple more shots of that engine compartment? From what I can see in this one shot, this could be another great example for newbie guys like me to learn from.

Not much to show on this one post-build but I will try in the future to take some progress shots on engine compartment work. Some detail painting and use of a black and a silver fine point sharpie marker, bent wire painted for battery cables, radiator hoses are formed from solder and then painted flat black, pre-wired distributor, just a few small items like that and they help the overall look of the engine compartment a great deal.
