I had some parts that needed to get the Easy Off treatment today but thought why not just go through all my kits and do it in one shot. Now the last time I did this was a mess. So I thought about making the spray nozzle like you would to decant spray paint. Drilled out the nozzle, inserted and supper glued a length of spare tubing and went to work. No mess, you can put the parts in a zip lock bag and stick the nozzle in and spray away. Now some of these old Revell and AMT parts are thick with that lacquer or whatever you call that goo. so had to go through the process more than once. Just an idea, give it a try.

I use straight Simple Green. A large yogurt container with a lid, a screen pencil cup to hold the parts and generally after a few hours it's clean. A quick wash with a tooth brush and warm water and done. Best is No Odor and not toxic on the skin. Each Container full is effective about 6 to 10 months. Paul

Well, I can get the chrome off easily w/bleach or simple green.
But it is that weird undercoating that is often thick and obliterates the detail of some parts.
It is not always the same, some times there is very little of it left over.
I stripped two Revell K.S. Pittman Willys in part of the part of this batch and
they both produced different results. One was perfect, the other had a lot of
undercoating (yellow colored whatever) that took more time in the bag.
I can't find any other reasonable way to get rid of the stuff.

I haven't tried it yet, but I've had two different guys tell me that soaking chrome in the Purple Pond for 24 hours will almost always remove the undercoating. Both guys that told me that are long time modelers that produce fantastic finished builds.

Yeah Steve, I use Super Clean to strip chrome and enamel paint. You can see the chrome fizzing off as soon as you put the parts in it. The base clear does take a little longer to come off though.
