I just snagged one of these from Model Car Mountain's E bay site. Has anyone her built one of these? I'm wondering why there are two sets of front lower corner panels in the kit. Haven't received it yet, just ordered it today just part of my pursuit of odd Ford related Drag kits

I can't help you out with your question. Sorry. I've looked at that kit a couple times on eBay, but just haven't pulled the trigger and bought one yet. I'll be curious to see how the kit is.

It's kind of interesting to me and might look nice w/some Mr. Gasket Mustang decals on it.
Or maybe a Pinto body w/Mr. Casket.
Just kidding Steve.

Surfer, that's the old Ohio George Multi-Maverick Gasser/Altered kit in an old re-issue box. The same thing was released around 2006 or 7 and I figure it to be popped again. Hope you didn't dent yer wallet too much.

I like funky old kits and it wasn't to bad a price. Do you know anything about the front lower quarter panels being moulded separate?

The body wasn't very authentic for the original Ohio George maverick or your kit but that was how mpc did things sometimes. The chassis on that car was adjustable stock to run gas extended wheelbase to run altered (they actually did a better job on the chassis than on the body) hence the 2 sets of fenders 1 short or stock 1 extended

This should be a fun kit to work with, I may have to move it up in my long line of models to get to.

Got this in the post yesterday, I like the way this kit is engineered, think it deserves moving up a slot in my build list. Its moulded in a dark blue so perhaps some Gapp & Roush decals would look nice on it. Or if I get going crazy an Dyno Don version (orange, red, white). Weird body and all. It reminds me of the "Mean Maverick". Either way, Im thinking Phantom car, or a "what if" kind of build.

Make it into Gapp & Rousch's 4 door Maverick Hah, double quote... I like this kit for some odd reason so I found another. Yah I'm weird like that, but the "TAXI" thing got me thinking of just how to do it. The front part (A pillars could be moved forward using the non altered quarters) to create something looking like a four door Maverick. Not correct but viable. Hey, I usually do things the hard way anyway it's only plastic.
