Hey Steve, can you flesh this category out a little bit for me? What are they? Who starts them? Rules? Etc. Thanks!

I'm probably not the best guy to explain this since I've never actively participated in a build, but I'll try. Anybody can start and "run" if you will, a community project. One or more guys decide what type of build it's going to be, then they post the description of the build on this "Community Build Projects" board. Then everybody that participates has to build what is laid out in the "rules". I'm not really wanting to use the word "rules" because that kind of indicates a contest and a CBP isn't necessarily, or even usually, a contest. I've seen projects where everybody had to build the same, exact kit, or an all Volkswagen build, a 50 year anniversary build, etc, etc. So they are a lot like a contest, but I'm going out on a limb and saying the vast majority of the time there are no winners or losers and no prizes. It's just a way for a group of guys to join in on a common build theme.
Hopefully I didn't butcher that explanation too badly. Maybe one of the other members will correct anything I said that's wrong.
