Try emptying out one of the kitchen cabinets to store all the new kits in. Do it in the wee hours of the morning while she's asleep. Then, once you've had half your backside chewed to shreds and have the kits back in your regular storage area, she'll forget all about the fact that you bought them. She'll just be strutting around proud as a peacock that she made you take the kits out of the kitchen. It's kinda like a stealth distraction. LOL!

That's where the photo was taken! In the model room! There's no hiding of the "craftie kits." The closet is already overflowing.... It's a walk-in closet. But now, you can't walk in it!
Tubbs; it's been such a long time! We used to chat over at SAM way back. My handle used to be "big baby" before it changed, long ago, to "6." I'm still 6 over there. What a riot! I'm glad to see you out here and we have some catching up to do! All the best to you!
SM - so funny you say that. She was giving me the lecture while in the kitchen and as a matter of fact, she was going into cabinets while doing it! There's no hiding! This place is my refuge and I retreat here for consolation!
I should post a photo of the closet. Maybe I'll start a kit hoarding topic. Always fun photos get posted on that topic. There was a guy over at SAM who had over 3000 kits in his garage. He had a huge car pile on a work bench. It was nuts. His name was Mike. He was an officer of some sort - like a guard or probation guy. I forget his handle.

Don't worry about any of that KP, just keep on doing what you are doing. The only time you need to worry about "The Chief of Staff" is when she has papers sent to you from an Attorney and you get a bill with it. Then it is time to worry about the kits. Just remember that when you two have a "Discussion" and she says "WHAT Did You Say"? She is giving you a chance to think about what you said AND CHANGE IT! With Women we gotta do what we gotta do and not what we WANT to do, otherwise we would end up doing hard time. I'm lucky, the only female I have to deal with in the house is my Cat. I wife-proofed this house about 16 years ago but a female sneaks in once in a while. Usually after one evening I never see her again due to the work room and hobby display room.

Here is a tip for model hoarders! Go out to the garage, actually clean it up! Get some shelving units, cardboard moving boxes, or plastic containers that you cannot see in. Sacrifice one box or container for junk, put it up on the shelf....in front use other containers or boxes for model kits! Out of sight out of mind! And you look like a go getter by straightening out the garage!

Only one problem with that one. I would have to stop buying, playing with, and thinking I really should finish a model in order to go out and clean up my garage!
