I'm reading it right now. I had gone ahead and finished reading "Junior Stock" by Doug Boyce and then started on "Maximum Performance". The books are completely different in their 'readability'.
"Maximum Performance" reads more like a good novel. It's really easy to get involved with what Jim Schild presents. "Junior Stock" presented a wealth of specific knowledge on all aspects of Stock Class drag racing with coverage of all the major events for each year. It was almost a little dry at times, but I know I'll be revisiting the book in the future for specifics on various cars, drivers, class descriptions, and event results.
I think you'll really enjoy reading "Maximum Performance". It's a great book.

Just thumbed through it but looks very interesting.I'm reading his book "Sox and Martin, The Most Famous Team in Drag Racing". Like his style of writing. Paul
