Now, THAT'S a really nice build. I don't know that I ever saw that car before. Great job!
You're sure making me smile with all the MOPARs you're building, especially since a lot of them are early to mid 60s cars. That was the real hay day of Chrysler's involvement with drag racing.

Very nice. I've got the decals for the Plain Busted 64/65 car. It's a 64 sedan body with a 65 front clip.

Wonder if it's the same car? It's hard to tell without rock solid information. There were so many of these cars back in the day. A lot of them changed hands from racer to racer and so many others were homemade. The history on specific cars can be very sketchy to figure out.

I have the history on the West Virginia Hemi before it was the W.V Hemi. From period HRM and Drag News. Chrysler Dodge and Plymouth FX cars engaged in fierce battles with Mercury’s big-dollar Comets and a handful of Mustangs before the end of 1964. 1965 would be a whole different story with new rules and mid season ban on aluminum body panels. The Ramchargers like other teams sold their 1964 cars to make room for their 1965 altered wheelbase cars. The Ramchargers plus 2 1/2" Dodge went to Eddie and Mark Smith, who had the Alexander Brothers custom shop near Detroit convert it to the max altered wheel base and add a 1965 Dodge nose and doors to replace the alloy panels on the 1964 shell. It is seen here in a newspaper story circa 1967, doing the job with driver Frank Boggess.
