Nice job on this one Paul. I've curious about this kit for a while. Did you know that AMT actually offered this thing as a full-scale kit car that you could actually take to the strip and race?
I almost hate to admit this, but I didn't learn about that until recently.

I almost hate to admit this, but I didn't learn about that until recently. I almost bought one in California when I was first out of the service. Cooler heads prevailed, I bought a 340 Duster in L.A. for my trip home to N.Y.. I'm sure I would have had serious law enforcement issues with a Piranha going home to the east coast

Being a Mopar fan myself, I applaud your cooler head choice. But one has to wonder what could have been.

Being a Mopar fan myself, I applaud your cooler head choice. But one has to wonder what could have been. Lots of tickets! Anyway, the Duster was a stealth car. 340 six pack, 4 speed,3:55 gears, bench seat, stripe delete and Rally wheels with white walls in the Olive Green Metallic with black vinyl interior. First thing I did was cut off the left tailpipe tip to complete the slant six look.
