Hey Paul, if it's not to late try the chassis for the '71 Charger if you have one. I haven't got either kit yet but I have heard it works better in the AMT/MPC '71 through '74 Satalite based kits.

You said you might do a "what if" Sox & Martin SS car. I'm guessing you know they did have a Superbird. I believe it was a Pro Stock car though. It wouldn't be too hard for guys to appreciate an SS tribute. Anything Sox & Martin works for me. One of the greatest, if not THE greatest race teams of all time.

Yep I built one a few years ago and have this one on the shelf for the future. They ran S/SE

This chassis fit nice. I took 1/16 off both sides, 3/8 off the rear and a taper on the rear chassis sides. With either chassis you use the fire wall is the issue. The original MPC has a bend to bring the top back. None of the AMT Mopar kits have that. Thanks for the tip though, I will use it down the line on an other 1971 MPC Superbird I have.

LOL I would love to find one of the '71 Roadrunner kits, just to build a Roadrunner with. By the way as long as you are building a what if model why not add the Hemi Cammer engine?

I think have saved one.

Looking forward to seeing what you do with this one Paul. Looks like a rather crude kit.

That paint looks great on the body. Looking forward to seeing how you finish this build. Steve
