This was a JoHan Rambler Glue bomb I bought Off ebay I started working on this a couple years ago . I wasn't happy with the paint job and got bored with it. It uses a Johan SC/Rambler Kit as a donor kit.
I was trying to duplicate an old Pactra Color called Rootbeer By Mixing small amounts of Testors Brown to Testors clear It was close but not quite. YUCK!
The model uses a lot of kit bashed parts from old Johan Kits which in my opinion had some of the best looking small parts and details .
Also uses a few scratchbuilt and modified parts. the driveshaft loop , seat belts, header collectors and flanges etc
I am planning to paint the hood and trunk lid semi gloss black i'm trying to decide if I want to add a large moon tank to the trunk or use a stock type gas tank . I need to finish up a few details . touch up some errors fuel lines and carb linkage and radiator and hoses . finish the grille and build a tach to mount on the dash .
The theme of the car is pretend a rambler dealership technician had this old american or rogue (what ever it is LOL) and added the SC/Rambler drive train he got cheap from a wrecked SC/Rambler back in the early 70s built it up to go drag racing at the local track on weekends . Also terrorize the neighborhood during the week. an actual car never existed its just something from my mind
I don't know when I'm going to finish this one .maybe I will maybe I wont. I just thought it would be cool to show off Thanks !

It looks pretty good. I think you should finish it. Would make a nice addition to your collection.

Did you know that Testors had a Root Beer colored rattle can? Might be just what you were looking for.

I have been discovering stuff on the internet. I get all my model kits at automotive swap meets and its real hard to find paint. I have rattle cans from back in the 60s but have found they have no propellant so I tossed them. This particular model is not going to be repainted anyway. Ill just finish what I have on it .
