Hi I'm Chuck from Ohio, Soon to be 54 yrs. old, building models since I was 8. Always a huge fan of drag racing, Heavy into the Nostalgia Drags! My wife makes referance to my hobby as an illness. I guess I've been afflicted since birth. Huge fan of Dyno Don, Fast Eddie, Ohio George. Ronnie Sox, The Farmer Arnie, and the list goes on. I got an invite from along time guy I've dealt with for yrs. on ebay, Wolfie 427! I build mainly Gassers, S/Stockers, A/W/Base cars. I also drag race 1/25 scale drag cars in the winter, It's a great time. I'm known as the Ford guy in my group but I like all makes and models. I'm sure I'll learn a lot from this forum Thanks for the invite.

Hey Adam, I finished a 55 chevy gasser for the Choppers car show last march and won best rod in the model contest. I got lucky, there was some nice stuff there. I was workin on a 51 chevy gasser, an a/w/base 57 Ford, a/w/base 55 chevy, and an a/w/base 62 pontiac, the altered cars I bought as projects from wolfie427. Now it's slot car season and I can't build much since the operation on my right hand 6 weeks ago, progress is slow. I'm sure when I finally go back to work it'll be snowin and I'll be in the 10 ton salt truck plowin the city around the clock, makes it tuff to build anything in the winter. Well it's good to know your on this sight thanks for the welcome, Chuck

Hey, all. Just got signed up here. I've seen a couple of folks I know (Hey, Cap!). I'm Dan Himmel. I'm group owner of The StraightLineModeler at Yahoo groups, and web"master" at www.straightlinemodeler.org. If you're not familiar with our website, please check us out. We've added a lot of new stuff recently, and are always working on and looking for more content to add. We try to focus on accomplishing realism for modelers, and, by doing so, have probably ruffled more than a few feathers. That said, We work hard to make our website the best of its kind, and surely, you can find something helpful, no matter what you like to build!
