I decided to wire the engine. I'll be using a Preston's Car Parts Vertex Magneto with yellow wires. I de-chromed the valve covers and the breathers, drilled out the spark plug holes in the covers, glued the breathers to the covers. Once they have set in place I will paint the covers and install them on the heads. Right now they are sitting on the heads while the glue dries. The last photo is from over head. It shows off the four breathers that were attached to the valve covers. Thanks for looking.

This is really starting to shape up and you have done a lot of nice work on it! I can only imagine how nice it's going to be once it's done!

Thanks David! Geez, I just realized you're on Coffin Corner2 also. Could not figure out why the name and the build were familiar. Paul

Went out today and got some supplies for my build. Got some 60/40 .031 diameter solder, some 22 Gouge Green wire, and a bottle of Model Master Acrylic Alumium paint. I also received in the mail, via eBay, an AMT Bantam Blast kit. I got the kit for the parts that didn't come with the Winged Express kit. The rear disks and calipers, and the cowling that fits over the steering wheel linkage in front of the firewall.
Yesterday, I drilled a hole in the rear of the blower injector plate for the Vertex Magneto and super glued the Magneto in place. Once I can get some spark plug boot tubing I can drill the holes in the valve covers to fit that and then install the spark plug wires.

Raining here today so no painting on the body or interior sheet metal. Added valve stems to the front and rear wheels. Painted up the rear disk brakes and calipers. Was thinking of trying to add hardline injectors on the Crower injector but my pin vice is too worn out to hold a number 80 drill bit so I'm not going to attempt that. I am going to add the fuel lines to and from the fuel tank from the injector block. Slow going but that's my pace.

Sounds like you're doing small, tedious work so slow going is to be expected.

Thank you, Steve. Here are the pics from the other day when I was working on my build doing some painting and small tedious work: I know it doesn't look like much but I've been away from doing detail work like this for five years or more. My eyesight isn't as good as it was even with 2x reading glasses. I'm trying not to look like a newbie but that's how I feel sometimes.

Oh, no. You don't look like a newbie. No threat of that. Just wait until my first photos hit the forum. Then you'll remember what newbies produce. LOL!
Looking pretty good.

Looking good there my friend. I can't wait to see this come together. Don't feel bad I've got so many lights and magnifying instruments around my work bench it's hard to get to it sometimes! Just part of getting older I'm afraid
